Timucua Village is a charming community that offers a secluded feeling while literally backing onto the many entertainment and shopping outlets on offer in the Loop.
It was named after the Timucuan Indians who lived in this part of Central Florida and was originally constructed by two builders: FRC and Fairfax who build these homes custom for buyers.
As with so many customized homes in any neighborhood you benefit from superior home quality and luxury architectural styles. Properties in this community are Bermuda Georian and the columns are painted white to accentuate them and give a grand feeling to these homes. Each of the properties also has high peaked roofs. M/I purchased some of the Fairfax lots also constructed similar homes. The FRC lots in this community are mostly concentrated on the east side of the neighborhood. They offered six models that were generally three and four bedroom properties with some offering gorgeous brick accents.
Timucua Village has an extremely active Homeowners Association which ensures that the area maintains its beautiful look and feel.
Construction in Timucua Village started with the first home back in October 1989 and was completed with the last property in March 1995. In all there are 155 properties in Timucua Village making it a decent sized community that is not too large or too small. The development benefits from a lake as well as two ponds meaning that most homes back onto water of some type OR they enjoy overlooking some of the reserve forest area.
