Hunter’s Creek Celebrates with Holiday Concert in the Park

As the Thanksgiving festivities and Turkey Trot race give way to Christmas celebrations, Hunter’s Creek will be celebrating the holiday season with its annual Holiday Concert in the Park. Young musicians, dancers and entertainers from the local schools will be staging several performances throughout the event. The family-friendly event is open to all residents and their friends, and is a fun way to kick off the season’s festivities with neighbors.

In addition to enjoying the special live performances and festive music, families can participate in hands-on holiday activities, watch a holiday movie and purchase crafts for stocking stuffers and gifts. Younger children can have their picture taken with Santa, and everyone can enjoy delicious holiday treats and hot chocolate throughout the evening.

Many of the local restaurants, shops and cafes in The Village at Hunter’s Creek are also decked out for the holidays with shimmering lights and holiday décor, so concert attendees can walk around the park to see some of the festive light displays and decorations. Parking is free, and Wi-Fi access is available in the park.

In addition to enjoying the festivities at the Holiday Concert in the Park, residents and friends can make a donation to Toys for Tots and the Second Harvest Food Bank at the Hunter’s Creek Town Hall. Donations will be accepted through December 13.

Families who want to enjoy a holiday movie together can gather at Osprey Park Lawn on Saturday, December 11 at 7 p.m. for a showing of Deck the Halls. Concessions are available and admission is free for all ages.

This year’s Holiday Concert in the Park will take place on Saturday, December 4 at The Village at Hunger’s Creek from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
